A good news to all residents of Navotas and Quezon City, developed by the National TeleHealth Center (NThC) Of UP Manila introduces CHITS - the Community Health Information Tracking System wherein all health centers on the said area are required to use CHITS an electronic medical records system creating a health information network through using computerized system for faster monitoring, planning, and decision making for the LGUs and eventually the Department of Health. For example, Navotas City has armed its midwives and other health personnel with mobile CHITS or mCHITS, a combination of CHITS and mobile technology , so that they can input important data right from the field. It is the first city to do so. As for Quezon City, it is the first city in the country to automate the entire health department.
