My first visit to Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Bulacan

I spent the last Saturday of January at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Marilao, Bulacan. That was my very first visit and I am so happy to see this beautiful Shrine. The weather is really perfect (not that hot and cloudy) during the morning when we reached Marilao, Bulacan.

Upon entering, there is a life-sized station of the cross at the back of the church and Our Lady of Guadalupe with its flowing water which they said could heal (somehow wishing for a miracle cure for some diseases). There was a healing mass going on and we were fortunate to experienced such kind of ceremony. I was touched by the song, Alam Kong May Magagawa ang Diyos which happened I only see in television. The homily and healing part was one of the best experience. I was surprised with huge people attending the mass celebration and we were being blessed with oil at the end of the mass. With the increase number of devotees per year, there is an ongoing plan of expanding the Assembly
Hall which will become one of the biggest structure of Divine Mercy.

Maybe soon I would like to devote some of my time in visiting solemn places like this. I'll put it on my calendar (winks)

Ofcourse, our adventure is not complete without foodtrip. My BFF and I went to Popular - the home of the best delicacies in Bulacan! :)
