  After months of searching, Lily , the award-winning OPM band formerly known as Callalily, introduces actor-singer Joshua Bulot as their new vocalist. Bulot joins the award-winning and chart-topping band following former lead singer Kean Cipriano’s departure in June 2022, as he is "moving on" after less than two decades with the band. Hence, Lily, in collaboration with Lx2 Entertainment, opened national auditions to aspiring artists in search of their newest member. Event Coverage by Roger Decierdo It was a different ToyCon for me this year. I went on the last day (a Sunday) instead of the usual second day. And there were many new things that made this year’s Philippine Toy, Hobbies, and Collectibles Convention another great experience. A world of toys ToyCon has always been about toys and ToyCon 2019 was no different, with many of the major manufacturers being represented. Brands like Kotobukiya, Bandai, XM Studios, and Good Smile Company even had their own booths showcasing their latest releases. I was hoping to grab one of those GSC exclusive figures but that was already sold out. Not to be outdone, Pinoy pop culture brands also showed their stuff. ToyConPH has been around since 2001, and for me and my friends, it has become an annual thing to go to at least once in its 3-day affair. Toy collectors and enthusiasts alike would agree, if there's one thing that makes ToyConPH the way it is, is that ToyCon PH stays true to what it stood for when it began. It started as a toys, comics and pop culture convention, and guess what it has become now? The very same. Staying true to itself gave it the strength to stay standing still despite the numerous attempts by others to take it down. While there are others that try to create drama, ToyConPH has probably learned to just shake it off, or it has just been that sturdy an institution that it didn't make a dent at all to its spirit. I bet my friends would agree, ToyConPH is one of those things that brings us together, a reason for us to see each other despite our busy schedules. For us it is one of those good things in life we are lucky to have.

The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo brings ton of experience to all ages whether you love comics, toys or looking for any pop culture memorabilia. It was my first time to experience attending this convention in Chicago since the location is too far from my place (about 20 miles commute) and considering the cold weather (yes, still cold in Spring!) . I was planning to attend any weekend (Saturday or Sunday) when this contest pop up on my Facebook newsfeed for C2E2 by Bugle Newspaper Facebook Page. BOY BAND ALERT!!!! Boy Band is an American music reality show and one of my fave show to watch in Summer 2017. Young male aspiring artists competed with each other and the final five members who remained undefeated will become a member of a new boy band. The show hosted by Rita Ora and guidance from Nick Carter, Emma Bunton and Timbaland who helped these guys to nurture their talent and discover their skills. Thirty young male artists joined the audition and selected to the next round. The judges picked 18 boys and divided them into three groups. Each week, the group will perform and one member will got eliminated. The remaining contestants will be group again and perform each week. Scores are based from audience votes and judges will announce the final group members. After 17 years (if my calculation is right), the new Meteor Garden is back. The reboot has 48 episode which will air on Hunan Satellite TV from July 9th every Monday to Wednesday at 22:00 Mango TV Entertainment (please confirm if this is correct!). We already knew that the story was inspired from Japanese manga Boys over Flowers and to my surprise, Harlem Yu and Penny Dai agreed to use their songs in the opening and closing. I am not much familiar with the cast and am trying to fill in some information based from reading their profiles online but I know there will be a lot of comparison from original cast (they're the best for me! but let's give the new cast members a chance). I watched the trailers and I've found out that they filmed in different locations which to me is very interesting to see. Storyline is somehow adapating the current school environment. F4's most popular song, Liu Xing Yu (Meteor Rain), has been sung solo for the first time since the song's release in 2001. I enjoyed watching movies in the cinemas or at home and sometimes I recommend good movies after watching them by posting to my Facebook account. I rarely write a movie review because I am not good in storytelling or giving out spoiler alerts. So, don't raise your eyebrows if you read this one. I just said, I am just a happy moviegoer. I just finished watching Kung Fu Yoga in Netflix when I browsed Facebook and saw that Jackie Chan has another movie. Kung Fu Yoga is a typical martial arts-nerd scientist-comedy flick so I'll just skip reviewing it :) Let's talk about, "The Foreigner" which Rotten Tomatoes gave a high score and most reviews online were outstanding! I have won (1) complimentary ticket to see Jurassic World The Exhibition at the West Gate of Field Museum. I am very excited to see the big animatronic dinosaurs and experience the prehistoric world inside the tent exhibition. The entrance was we're supposedly traveling on a boat crossing the island Nublar wherein the Jurassic World exhibit was located. We were welcomed by a park ranger and the huge door (like in the movie!) opened and our adventure started on getting up close and personal to prehistoric dinosaurs that really roars so loud and recreating a petting zoo for those who would like to touch them. Our favorites Velociraptor and Indominus Rex were enormous and these two creatures were too scary when they started to roar! We were warned to stay calm and safe because these two are being out of containment! It's more like a mini action scenes and you'll be surprised! We love attending summer events and this time it's by our neighborhood! Festival Polonaise is a weekend event to honor the local Polish community and share their natural heritage of Polish arts and culture, food and tradition. Due to some personal matters, I wasn’t able to attend the the inaugural ToyCon + PopLife FanXperience event last year. Thus, when given the opportunity to cover this year’s iteration, I excitedly made trek to the SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia, despite an aching ankle. And I got a nice treat in exchange for the pain. A Parade of Celebrities While the Philippine Toys, Hobbies, and Collectibles Convention does have celebrity guests every year, this is only the second time that they take centerstage in the event. The   Marvel's Avengers STATION stands for Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network is the newest exhibit in Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas. This is where you get train and become an official Avengers operatives. If you are a Marvel movie fan, you'll be excited to see this. The exhibit is actually based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
