Eastwood City Celebrates Philippine Love on Independence Day
Eastwood City will celebrate Independence Day through varied activities to fete the Filipino heritage. Take part in well-loved Filipino activities that will make this historic Independence Day even more meaningful.

Rekindle traditional Filipino romance with the good’ol harana. Philippine Opera Company’s Harana are coming to serenade you with folk songs and kundiman, a genre of traditional Filipino love songs. This group of classical singers will surely make one fall in love with the Philippines all over again as their voices fill Eastwood Mall Open Park on Independence Day at 7pm.

Filipino tradition cannot be complete if the love affair with food is forgotten. That’s why Chef Rommel Paredes and Chef Ojie Reloj of CCA will share their take on a couple of delicious local dishes in the Independence Day Cooking Demo. This will be quite interesting because the chefs are going to add a modern twist to the meals. Register in advance to get the best seats at the cooking demo in the Eastwood Mall Atrium at 5pm.

Cap the night with a photograph by the newly painted L-O-V-E Eastwood sign. There’s no mistaking the colors of the Philippine flag. If that’s not enough, bring home a Filipino flag from the Weekend Gourmet Market.

Show love for the country. Celebrate Philippine Independence this June 12 at Eastwood City.
