COMDDAP EXPO MANILA 2011
BIGGEST TECHNOLOGY SALE TARGETS GADGET LOVERS, CORPORATE BUYERS

Mimicking the “Black Friday” shopping sale in the U.S., the country’s leading computer and technology trade association holds the biggest information technology (IT) sale yet since its exhibition began in 1986 with price cuts of up to 70 percent, exclusive discounts and special promotions on a wide variety of IT products and services for both gadget lovers and corporate buyers.

The Computer Manufacturers, Distributors and Dealers Association of the Philippines (COMDDAP) has gathered more than 30 exhibitors from among its members and invited technology players for “Got I.T.!”, the 28th edition of COMDDAP Expo Manila, to be held from December 9-11, 2011 at SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.

Considered the industry’s longest-running IT exhibition that continues with its objective to popularize information and communications technology (ICT) in the country, COMDDAP EXPO Manila 2011 is open for free to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Hall 1 of SMX.

“We are targeting technology-savvy individuals and forward-looking companies with a lineup of consumer and corporate products and services made more affordable, especially during the gift-giving season, through slashed prices and EXPO-exclusive offers,” said COMDDAP president and event director Juan G. Chua.

From a mere showcase of IT products and solutions when it began 25 years ago, COMDDAP EXPO Manila has evolved into a highly anticipated selling show that features the latest gadgets, demonstration units and new products available for the coming year—all at lower prices.

During the three-day event, top brands direct from the manufacturers or coming from their distributors and resellers will be on sale at huge markdowns or outright giveaways in the case of auctioned products. These include personal computers, laptops, printers, monitors, consumer and home electronics, digital cameras, smartphones and hot gadgets like PC tablets.

Consumers and visitors can flick through and actually try out new products on display or check on customized services as the EXPO is designed as a convenient one-stop IT destination for corporate and individual buyers looking for the right fit and price for their unique requirements, according to Chua.

Geared to offer the lowest prices on their products and services are exhibitors Accrotech Micro Devices, Inc., Advance Solutions, Inc., Astech Pengson Distributors, Inc., Bayan Telecommunications, Inc., Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc., Chase Technologies Corp., Compteq Philippines, Inc., Copydata Systems Corp., Data Images Plus Automation Philippines, Inc., EA Global Supply Chain Solutions, Inc., Eastgate Computer Corp., Edupro, Inc., Epson Philippines Corp., Fotohub Digital.

Genie Technologies, Inc., Infochat, Infotouch Systems, Inc., International Micro Village, Inc., IP Systems, JT Photo World, Inc., Jupiter Systems, Inc., Leadtech Systems, Inc., LSI Leading Technologies, Inc., Microdata Systems & Management, Inc., MSI-ECS Philippines, Inc., Mustard Seeds Systems Corp., Nexus Technologies, Inc., PC Express, PCWORX, Silicon Valley Computer Center, Spinweb Productions, Inc., Sodexo, Trinity Marketing, Inc. and Wordtext Systems, Inc.

But more than a selling event, the Expo has evolved into a complete IT marketplace of creative ideas and life-enhancing opportunities as COMDDAP holds technology seminars for both corporate customers and individual consumers.

On December 9, free seminars geared for the corporate audience will be conducted by Genie Technologies, Inc. on “Innovations on Specialty Retail” and Microsoft Philippines, Inc. on “Transform Your Business: Work Anywhere with Windows 7 and Mango & Fast and Furious 6: High Octane Productivity with Office 14 (10 a.m.-12 noon).

From 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m., Microsoft Philippines, Inc. tackles “Journey to the Cloud—Making Enterprise Grade Software Accessible to the SME”.

On December 10, students and the general public can attend the seminars to be conducted by IT expert and Infochat founder Jerry Liao.
