Have Your Pets ‘Blessed’ at Eastwood City This October

Eastwood City once again plays host to adorable and cuddly pets from all over the Metro as it holds its annual pet blessing ceremony this coming October 7.

Celebrating its 8th year, Eastwood City’s Annual Pet Blessing in partnership with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) will be held at the Eastwood Mall Open Park.

Registration for this celebration in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, starts at 12PM and the procession starts at 4PM.

“This is our way of showing our valued customers that we are truly a pet-loving community and an advocate of responsible pet ownership,” said Megaworld First Vice President and Commercial Division Head Kevin L. Tan.

Prior to the blessing ritual, a procession within Eastwood City will take place followed by a Holy Mass. The Mass Celebrator will then bless each pet while being carried by their pet owners.

Meanwhile, pet owners are encouraged to put extra effort to dress up their pets if they are to vie for the special awards to be given out before the blessing proper.

Among the honors to be given to deserving pets are the Early Bird Award (for the first to register), Best Dressed Award (the most fashionable), Head Turner Award (for the most unique), Life of the Party Award (the most active and compelling) and Star of the Night (the most adorable).

Capping off this remarkable evening are live performances from various artists, who will serenade the participants after the Pet Blessing.
Registration to Eastwood City’s Annual Pet Blessing is free of charge. Simply bring your pet’s latest vaccination papers and secure a pet pass to register at the event area. For more information, please contact the Megaworld Lifestyle Malls Concierge at 709-9888, 709-0888 or 0917-8380111.
