Erik Santos serenades us with the music of our lives

From the platinum recording artist who brought us his soulful rendition of the OPM classics “My Bukas Pa” and “Lupa” comes another theme song that will surely serenade our human souls, a Basil Valdez original, entitled “Muling Buksan Ang Puso” which will be used in the upcoming teleserye of ABS-CBN starring Gretchen Barretto, Angelica Panganiban, KC Concepcion and Derek Ramsay.

Proven his charm in singing the theme songs of top-rating TV series and blockbuster movies like “I’ll Never Go” for the Star Cinema movie “One More Chance”, the “Prince of Pop” is now set to sing the songs of our lives being launched by Star Records as “The Ultimate Serenader” with his new album entitled “Awit Para Sa ‘Yo.” The album consists of twelve (14) tracks including eight (9) original and four (5) cover songs, all are OPM love songs composed by renowned composers in the local music scene.

Track list includes: his version of the hit song “’Di Lang Ikaw” (composed by Aiza Seguerra and written and sung by Juris Fernandez) – theme song for “Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Hiyas”; his powerful interpretation of “Muling Buksan Ang Puso” (composed by George Canseco); “Kulang Ako Kung Wala Ka” (from the composer of the hit song “Kung Ako Na Lang Sana,” Soc Villanueva); “Sa Iyong Paglisan” (composed by Arnold Reyes); “If You Have To”

(composed by Jude Gitamondoc);“Langit” (from the composer of the hit song “Pagbigyang Muli,” Jonathan Manalo); “Kailan Ka Magiging Akin” (from the ultimate singer-songwriter, Mr. Ogie Alcasid); “’Di Na Magbabago” (composed by Christian Martinez); “Sana Ikaw” (a Piolo Pascual original, composed by Lucien Letaba and Rommel Tuico) – sub theme for “Guns and Roses”; “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin” (composed by Mr. Gary Valenciano and written by Erik Santos); “Paminsan-minsan” (composed by Aaron Paul Del Rosario) and his unique rendition of “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka” (a Regine Velasquez original, composed by Mr. Ogie Alcasid).

The carrier single “Kulang Ako Kung Wala Ka” chosen by Erik’s fans through online polling is now airing on your favorite radio stations nationwide. The album is set to be released this August 2011. Erik will also have celebrity voice clinics via Center for Pop Music Philippines this September and October 2011.
